We sell lots and lots of guitar strings. Our stock is rotated, fresh and most importantly, real. In recent years, many fake strings have appeared for sale online. These are not the same quality or material found in authentic strings like Ernie Ball. The scammers are getting quite good at their packaging and to a lot of people its almost impossible to tell the difference. The most obvious is price. You can't buy 3 packets of real super slinky for £10. or a real set of elixir nanoweb for £3.99. Here are some ways to tell if Ernie Ball guitar strings are fake: Packaging : Ernie Ball strings come in foil packaging with a product code printed on the front side. Fake Ernie Ball strings may not come in foil packaging.  Size : Fake strings may be inconsistently sized, which can prevent your guitar from staying in tune.  Color : Fake strings may be a darker color than genuine Ernie Ball strings.  Feel : Fake strings may feel oily and leave an oily residue on your hands.  Winding : The winding of the core of the string may be a different material or color than genuine Ernie Ball strings.  FAKE Here is the real thing. ALL ABOUT UKULELE STRINGS The humble ukulele is perfect for music education—it's fun, inexpensive, portable and surprisingly versatile—so it's no wonder it has become popular in primary schools as an alternative to the much-maligned recorder. Teaching ukulele in primary schools can provide students with a wealth of benefits, from improving fine motor skills and coordination to boosting self-confidence and creativity. As the popularity of ukuleles has grown, so has the demand for different types of ukes. Different tonewoods aside, there are four main different types of ukuleles on the market—we list them here in ascending order of size: Soprano The classic ukulele that most players start out with. The shorter scale and smaller body provide its traditional 'plinky' sound. Tuning: G/C/E/A  |  Average size: 53cm long Concert Its slightly longer scale allows for extra frets and extra spacing between them , which is ideal for adults and those with larger fingers. Tuning: G/C/E/A  |  Average size: 58cm long Tenor Much louder than the smaller ukes, the tenor sounds quite close to a classical guitar and offers even more space on the neck. Tuning: G/C/E/A  |  Average size: 66cm long Baritone This is the largest common-sized ukulele and offers a lot of bass and resonance. It's tuned like the top four strings of a guitar and feels much more like a small classical acoustic.
